India registers a historic win against England in Lords:- The rain played a spoilsport for India in the first test against England as the entire fifth day of play got canceled. The test ended up as a draw and India reported a historic win against England in the second test in Lords. It was an edge-of-the-seat thriller and Indian bowlers dominated the last day of play and scripted history. Indian bowlers shined with the bat and the ball on the last day which led to a miraculous victory. India thrashed England by 151 runs and is leading the series with 1-0 in the five test match series. On the last day of the play, England needed to score 272 in at least 60 overs of play and they tumbled down for 120.
Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami made an early damage and Mohammed Siraj's outstanding spell of 4/32 made the victory easy for Team India. Before this, Mohammed Shami (56 not out) and Jasprit Bumrah (34 not out) and reported an 89-run partnership for the ninth wicket. India declared their second innings for 298/8. For the first time in the history of Test cricket in 141 years, both the England openers went for a duck. Before this, England won the toss and elected to bowl first. India scored 364 in their first innings and England scored 391 with a slight lead. KL Rahul is named as the Player of the Match for his 129 in the first innings.
