Virat Kohli's IPL Captaincy Ends On A Bitter Note:- Indian skipper and star cricketer Virat Kohli has been leading Royal Challengers Bangalore as a captain from the past few years. Before IPL 2021 resumed in Dubai, Virat Kohli penned an emotional post that he would skip down as a captain for Team India in T20s and IPL to focus more on his batting. His fans wanted Royal Challengers Banglore to perform well in this season to make IPL 2021 a memorable one for Virat Kohli as he would step down as a skipper. RCB never won the trophy and his fans had huge dreams for IPL 2021. But RCB lost in the eliminator match with Kolkata Knight Riders which took place last night. Virat Kohli's fans are left heartbroken with the news.

This is the second straight loss for RCB in the Eliminator after the team was defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2020. Virat Kohli turned skipper for RCB in 2011 but the team could not win a single title till date. But his fans kept supporting the top batsman. Though it has nothing much to blame on Virat Kohli, his fans are left in shock with a bitter ending for his captaincy. Virat Kohli could not control his tears after the match. 2017 was horrific as RCB won three matches and lost ten matches in the season. Virat Kohli maintained a great average and strike rate in all the seasons of IPL. Virat Kohli as a captain won 64 matches and lost 69 out of the 140 matches. Three matches were tied and four of them ended with no result. His win percentage is said to be 48.51 percent. After MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli is the fourth player to captain more than 100 matches in IPL.
