Second Test: New Zealand Tumbles Down For 62:- India and New Zealand are playing their second and the final test match which happens to be the decider of the test series. India won the toss and elected to bat first. Indian batsmen reported 325 in their first innings. Mayank Agarwal (150), Shubman Gill (44) and Axar Patel (52) have been impressive among the Indian batsmen. Indian-origin player Ajaz Patel who has been representing New Zealand created history after he picked up all the ten wickets of the Indian batsmen. He is the third bowler in International cricket to achieve this record after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble. Ajaz Patel is the first New Zealand bowler to achieve this record.
Ajaz Patel bowled 47.5 overs and consumed 119 runs to take ten wickets. New Zealand wanted to open with a bang and report huge runs in their first innings but the team tumbled down for 62 in their first innings. Their innings got completed in 28.1 overs. Kyle Jamieson (17) and Tom Latham (10) are the only batsmen who scored double digits in their first innings. Ravichandran Ashwin (4/8), Mohammed Siraj (3/19) and Axar Patel (2/14) have been outstanding with the ball among the Indian bowlers. After the follow-on, Team India decided to bat again in their second innings. They scored 20 for the loss of no wicket in 6 overs. India is expected to win the second test by a huge margin going with the current trend.
