Virat Kohli playing his 100th Test: Gets Felicitated:- Indian star batsmen Virat Kohli decided to bring down the pressure on him and he stepped down from the skipper post for Team India in all the formats. The star player decided to focus more on his batting. Virat Kohli is playing his 100th test match today and it was initially planned to take place in Benglauru. But the match commenced in Mohali today. India is playing their first test match with Sri Lanka today and it is a packed stadium. India won the toss and elected to bat first. The entire team congratulated Virat Kohli on the achievement. His wife Anushka Sharma and family members were present on the occasion. Rohit Sharma is making his debut as a test captain for Team India with this test match.

Before this, Indian coach Rahul Dravid felicitated Virat Kohli in the stadium in the presence of the players on the occasion of the 100th test match for Virat Kohli. He called it a proud moment and Virat Kohli thanked BCCI for the honour. Virat Kohli did not have a three figure score since November 2019 in test matches. The first test match between India and Sri Lanka is taking place in IS Bindra PCA International Stadium in Mohali. BCCI decided to allow 50 percent of the spectators considering the Covid-19 restrictions and the entire tickets are sold out. The stadium can accommodate 27,000 seats. Strict security is imposed in and around Mohali Stadium.
