Sunil Gavaskar Blasts Virat Kohli And Rohit Sharma:- Team India reported a five-wicket victory against Pakistan in the opening match of the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday. Star players of India like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul could not do much with the bat. Virat Kohli has been struggling for form and he returned back to the sport after a long break. He spent time with his family and Virat revealed that he battled depression due to the pressure. Former Indian captain and opener Sunil Gavaskar took a dig on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli after the match with Pakistan. He said that the players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will have to contribute big with the bat.

"Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had an opportunity to bat for some time and they made decent runs. When asked about the form of Kohli, I said that he has not been having his luck. He got luck in the Pakistan's match because of drop catches and the inside edges. He played some fine shots but he got out because of the forgettable shots. Those shots are not really necessary at the time as the asking rate was not close to 20 per over. There is no need for Rohit or Virat to attempt for sixers. They can attempt big shots after scoring a 70 or 80. They should learn from this game" told Sunil Gavaskar. Both Rohit and Virat had to walk out because of the unnecessary shots.
