Ravindra Jadeja Ruled Out From Asia Cup 2022:- Team India has been in terrific form and reported two back-to-back victories in the Asia Cup 2022 and made it to the Super Four. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the Asia Cup after he reported a right knee injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a statement about the same and a medical team of BCCI is supervising his injury. Axar Patel is named as the replacement for Ravindra Jadeja for the rest of the matches of Asia Cup 2022. Axar Patel was a standby player in the squad and he will join the team very soon.

The official statement of BCCI said "The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Axar Patel as the replacement for Ravindra Jadeja in the ongoing Asia Cup. Ravindra Jadeja has sustained a right knee injury and is ruled out of the tournament. He is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team. His replacement, Axar Patel was earlier named as one of the standbys in the squad and will join the team in Dubai soon,". Ravindra Jadeja was one of the top scorers in the series with Pakistan and he made 35 runs. Jadeja did not get a chance to bat in the match with Hong Kong.
