Delhi Capitals Bats and Other Equipment Stolen:- In a shocking incident, Delhi Capitals players' bats, pads, shoes, thigh pads and gloves went missing. Team after the match with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) flew from Bengaluru to Delhi. The stuff went missing during their transit. The players came to know about this only after their kits were delivered to their rooms.
Among the stolen things, David Warners, Mitchell Marsh, youngster Yash Dhull and Phil Salt lost their kits. While the other players lost their gloves, shoes and pads. This is the first such incident to happen. The bats and another equipment cost around Rs 16L.
Delhi Capitals Franchise owners lodged a complaint about the mass stealing. The team somehow managed their practice match on Thursday for their next match with KKR and requested their managers to go in touch with their brand owners and requested them to get their brand bats before their next match.
In general, IPL franchises hire a logistic company, where after every match the players keep their kits and luggage out of their respective rooms and the company ensures that player luggage will reach the destination before the players arrive at the destination. This is the first incident of stealing and the franchise is trying to find out what exactly happened.
