Hyderabad’s shuttle sensation Saina Nehwal jumped a step ahead in the new international rankings and reached her career best second spot from the previous third.
"I am very happy to reach the second place in such a short time. The last three wins have really helped me reach this position. But my priority is to win more tournaments for India rather than focusing on ranking", the 20-year old Saina, who was down with fever and cold, told journalists in Hyderabad on Thursday.
"It will be difficult to hold on to the ranking but I hope to continue my hard work and win more titles and become the number one player soon," said Saina who is just behind the Chinese Yihan Wang.(Submitted on 15-07-2010)
