Kidambi Srikanth Bags Silver At The BWF World Championships:- Telugu shuttler Kidambi Srikanth bagged a silver medal in the final of the BWF World Badminton Championships after getting defeated by Loh Kean Yew from Singapore on Sunday. Kidambi Srikanth was the former World No 1 and he lost to Yew by 15-21, 20-22 in 43 minutes. Kidambi Srikanth's name is placed alongside PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal who ended up as runners-up in the past. PV Sindhu won gold in 2019 and two silvers, two bronze in the past and Saina Nehwal won silver in 2015 and bronze in 2017.

Though it was a loss, it is a significant achievement for Kidambi Srikanth who has been away due to fitness issues and lack of form. He suffered from a knee injury in 2017 French Open Final. Kidambi Srikanth is ranked 14th in the world. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy congratulated Kidambi Srikanth on the achievement.
