Actress Shreya, who is in Sri Lanka shooting for her movie ‘Winds of Change’ directed by Deepa Mehta, has taken time off to perform at the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League (IPL) this evening at Chennai.
Shreya herself confirmed the report saying she took 36-hour permission from her production house for entertaining the cricket fans during the inaugural ceremony of the IPL season 4 at Chennai.
The season will start with an encounter between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chepauk stadium on Saturday. “They have requested me to perform and I consider it as an honour to perform for the IPL,” Shreya told a leading daily without hiding her excitement. She however refused to reveal the details of her performance.
“I will perform at the inaugural and I will also watch the match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday. After that I will have to return to Sri Lanka again,” Shreya told the paper.
It is said that Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan will also shake his legs along with Shreya at the opening ceremony.
