In spite of a breather to Warner went on to score a big one for the Australians, when Virat Kohli, standing at the first slip for off-the-field Rahul Dravid, dropped a regulation catch off Zaheer's bowling. The visitors wrapped up on the first day in a timid fashion. The Australians went in to bat, with confidence.
