Deepika Kumari in women's individual archery final of World Cup

The 18-year-old Indian defeated China's Lin Chia-En 6-1 in the semifinals. In the quarterfinals yesterday, she had beaten Karina Winter of Germany 6-0.

Indian archer Deepika Kumari has reached the final of the women's recurve individual event of the World Cup at Antalya. She will play Korea's Lee Sung Jin in the summit clash today. The 18-year-old Indian defeated China's Lin Chia-En 6-1 in the semifinals. In the quarterfinals yesterday, she had beaten Karina Winter of Germany 6-0.
However, all the men's recurve archers and men's and women's compound archers fell by the fourth round. The Indian men's recurve team which ended fifth with a total of 2012 points will compete in the team elimination today. (ssns)
