Euro 2012: Spain bruises Portugal chances

It was an historic moment for the Spain team as it makes to the third consecutive final by bruising the arch rival Portugal in the semi final foot ball match on Wednesday at the Donbass stadium in Donetsk. Spain showered its prowess in the entire match and beats the Portugal team with total team effort. The entire stretch of 120 minutes failed to give any team an edge and they ended up at 0-0.  However Portugal bowed out of Euro 2012 Championships after a 2-4 loss against defending champions Spain

Vicente Del Bosque sprung a real surprise before kick off as he made one change to the side that defeated France in the previous round, electing to start with Alvaro Negredo ahead of both Cesc Fabregas and Fernando Torres. And it was Fabregas who stood between the Portugal team and victory, claiming the honours for the Spaniards.

Consequitive kicking the ball by the Spanish players played the difference. It was Iniesta who bagan scoring the goals. Followed by Pique and Sergio Ramo. The win was consolidated by Fabregas. And off went the Spanish team into the final puching the ill-fated Portugal team out of the championships.  The shoot out time made the difference in favour of the Spain. And they shall take over Germany or Italy, in the finals  at Kiev on Sunday.  (With inputs from internet- AW AarKay)
