Ronjan Sodhi wins silver at ISSF World Cup

The sad tale of London Olympics had troubled Ronjan Sodhi but he had left the disappointment at the closing ceremony of the event. He has begun afresh and won the silver medal at the ISSF World Cup on Monday which was held at Slovenia.

Sodhi earlier failed to bag a shot in the Olympic final but he managed to score three more points than his performance in London Games securing the silver medal with a score of 191 (144+47).

Since 2010, Ronjan Sodhi has never failed to win a medal at World Cup finals. However, he was the top performer in earlier games with Gold in both 2010 and 2011 finals.

National Rifles Association of India (NRAI) President Raninder Singh said that he was delighted by the performance of the shooter from Ferozpur and expressed confidence that the shooter would continue to make the nation proud in the future.
