WhatsApp to limit the features for accounts that don't accept the privacy policy:- Top communication platform WhatsApp has extended the deadline to accept the privacy policy of the users until May 15th. All the users who will not accept the new changes will have to lose their access for their account. WhatsApp decided not to deactivate the accounts but they will limit the features. WhatsApp will send the reminders for the users as per the new privacy policy. One of the spokespersons revealed that the users who are not in a mood to accept the new policy will have 'limited account functionality'.
As per the policy the users will not have an access to their chat list but they will have an option to answer the video calls and voice calls. They can also call back a missed call or video call from the list. All these users of WhatsApp will receive the notifications and they can read the messages and reply to their received messages. WhatsApp said that this will continue fo only few weeks and WhatsApp will bar the users from receiving the calls and notifications and soon the services will be suspended. It is clear that the users will soon lose their WhatsApp account if the privacy policy will not be accepted. WhatsApp also decided to offer more time to accept the new privacy policy.
The original deadline was February 8th and it is shifted to May 15th. WhatsApp is keen to create an awareness about the privacy policy among the users and they will be updated with the reminders on their chat list.
