Peppy girl Trisha Krishnan has been reportedly chosen to don the leading lady role of Shruti Kakkar in the Telugu and Tamil remake versions of the Bollywood’s 2010 blockbuster ‘Band Baaja Baraat’.
Delhi girl Anushka Sharma played this role opposite Ranveer Singh in the original Hindi film produced by Yash Raj Films. The Telugu and Tamil versions are being produced by UTV, according to sources.
‘Teen Maar’, a Telugu remake of Hindi hit film ‘Love Aaj Kal’ featuring Trisha and Pavan Kalyan, is being released on April 14. Trisha will soon begin the shooting for the Telugu remake version of the successful Malayalam film ‘Bodyguard’ which stars Venkatesh in the leading role.
Trisha has recently said that she has watched both Tamil and Malayalam versions of the film to get a feel of the character she will have to take in the Telugu version. “I am really excited to do this role,” she said.
