Superstar Rajanikanth’s next high budgeted multilingual movie ‘Rana’, announced as far as back as January, will hit the floors on April 20.
Rajani, a staunch theist, chose AVM studios in Chennai for the Muhurt shot of the film as it was very sentimental for him. It must be said that many of the Rajani’s films launched at AVM have turned out to be massive hits and the actor considers the place very lucky for him.
‘Rana’ has its base in history for which the story is penned by none other than Rajani himself. His daughter Soundarya is producing the movie in collaboration with Eros International.
Deepika Padukone is playing a female lead role in the movie and the details of other star cast are yet to be disclosed. After a ten-day shoot, the team will go abroad for shooting of a song, according to sources close to the production house.
‘Rana’, to be directed by KS Ravi Kumar, will have music from AR Rehman and camera by Ratnavelu.
