Anushka chosen for Tamil ‘Dabangg’

anushka-1Producers Mohan Appa Rao and T. Ramesh, who have together acquired the Tamil remake rights of the Hindi blockbuster movie ‘Dabangg’, have zeroed in on the multilingual actress Anushka for the female lead role in the Tamil version.

Anushka is said to have accepted the project with out any second thought and given her dates also to the makers of the film. Producers of the film, who have first reportedly thought of roping in a Bollywood heroine for the female lead role, have finally dropped their plans and decided in favour of Anuskha, the beauty from Bangalore.

Reports said Anushka, who has bluntly refused to act in several remake movies in the past saying that the remake roles do not provide for creativity in acting, has agreed to act in this film as special case since she liked the film very much.

Moreover, she is also said to have been assured of a free hand by the film makers in enacting her role in the movie. Silambarasan will star in the Tamil version of ‘Dabangg’ in one of the male lead roles.
