The film `3’, directed by Aishwarya (Rajnikanth) Dhanush and produced by Kasthuri Rajan seems to have raked in more profits in its Youtube version of `Why this Kolaveri Di’, however failed to impress audience on big screens. But now there seems to be a producer from Tollywood who is gaga with this kolaveri. He says but for the brand name of Superstar Rajnikanth behind it he would not have bought the film for a hefty sum. He now requests the Superstar to intervene to recover his Telugu `3’ loss. As the lead pair of the film Dhanush and Shruthi Hassan did not have much brand image in Tollywood. Compared to both Shruthi had an edge.

The producer Natti Kumar also called the team as cheaters. He said, “They wrapped up the film cheaply with a digital camera for Rs 6 Cr and sold the film for Rs 80 Cr the world over, including Rs 5 Cr for Telugu rights.” The producer was desperate in his appeal. “`They filled up their pockets and cheated the audience with a film with poor production values. Even the much-hyped Kolaveri Di song was shot cheaply at a beach,’ he added.
