Akkineni Nagarjuna's most awaited film of the year, Shiridi Sai (which is based on the life of Saibaba of Shirdi) got a U certificate from the CBFC. The movie was directed by K Raghavendra Rao, who earlier enthralled the public with super hit devotional films such as Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu with Nagarjuna in the lead. Although the three pictures were devotional and has Nag in the lead, the only difference between Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu and Shiridi Sai is that in previous devotional films, Nag played the role of a devotee whereas in the upcoming film, Nag is playing sathguru/godman role, who is being looked upon as the almighty by Hindus.
MM Keeravani composed music for this film. The audio was released recently and received good response from the public. The movie is all set for a grand release on September 6. Talking about this film, Nag earlier told that he was being looked upon as God only because he played the role of Shiridi Sai and appealed to the people to look at him as just an actor. Lets hope Shiridi Sai becomes a hit just like Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu.
