Talaash based on Aarushi's murder case?

Real life crimes have been the basis for most movies of the day since filmmakers have one burden less while coming to the story or the characters. Aamir Khan who generally prefers the path of originality but also has a very humane side of taking the crimes of the nation to task with his success from Satyameva Jayathe could have taken the most trodden path.

Talaash reportedly is being filmed based on the Aarushi Murder case, since speculations run rife that there are several uncanny resemblances in the incidents.

Director Reema Kagti and producer Aamir Khan, who also plays the lead in the film, have reportedly studied the way police in Delhi's suburb Noida handled the Aarushi murder case and then how CBI went on to re-investigate it.

A few sources quote that the filmmakers have pursued the media asking for the reports of the murder which took place in 2008. They sought the reasons for Aarushi's case being transferred to the CBI and the shortfalls in the police investigations.

However, when contacted, the film's spokesperson refused to comment on it.

The film, co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Aamir, also features Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor. It releases November 30.
