The shooting of this movie is in full swing at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Currently Suno Senorita song is being shot wherein Prabhas and Richa Gangapodhyaya are shaking legs with each other in the midst of dance group in the beautiful location. The shooting of Suno Senorita would continue for another five days.

Noted music director Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for Mirchi. The earlier proposed name for this movie was Vaaradhi, which was later changed to Mirchi.
