Suraj Sharma, the lead actor in Ang Lee directed movie "Life of Pi" will be able to write his first semester exams. His Alma-mater Delhi University's St. Stephens college management has finally allowed the philosophy student to go ahead with his academic career. This will metaphorically relieve him from all the "irrationalities" identical to his screen name Pi ( 3.14 ). ..!
The college authorities maintain that Suraj Sharma has been barred from writing the exam after he failed to submit assignments in lieu of classes that he had missed. College Principal Valson Thampu claims that Suraj had not submitted any assignment. St Stephen's has now given the time to the young actor till Thursday evening to complete his assignments.
Earlier, India's U-19 cricket team captain Unmukt Chand had also run into trouble with St Stephen's authorities due to poor attendance. He was later allowed to sit for the exams.
