Kamal Haasan's much awaited movie, Viswaroopam in Telugu, is not going to be released this Sankranti. Sources said Kamal has postponed the release of Telugu version due to the reasons unknown. The movie's original Tamil version and Hindi version are going to be released on the same date as mentioned ie, January 11. It is known that Kamal Haasan is going to release this movie on DTH a night before the theatrical release of the movie in Tamil Nadu. The subscription charges on DTH for Viswaroopam is Rs. 1000.

The sources said Kamal Haasan probably wants to release Telugu version also on DTH platforms and that could be the reason why he had postponed the release date so he can talk to DTH operators as well as distributors. Anyway, for all those waiting for Viswaroopam must wait for some more time. The film unit is expected to come out with a fresh release date soon.
