Indian Cinema has a glorious history. And if we look into the history, many shining diamonds will strike our eyes for sure. But not all those that received critical acclaim did well at the box office. On the contrary, some of the movies that had average storyline became blockbuster hits. There's no rocket science behind this-this is what we usually say whenever people try to analyze and break their heads as to why this parampara. It's all about characters and their relevance to our lives. Yes, if a character or characters in a movie can make people relate themselves to, then the movie puts big smiles on their faces.
Ram Charan Teja Nayak movie more or less falls into the same phenomena. True, otherwise our sources wouldn't have told us the way YSRC supporters were giving thumbs up for this movie. It is known that YSRC had been time and again trying to make a point that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) framed its supremo Jaganmohan Reddy. Nayak movie, accidentally or incidentally or fortunately or unfortunately, shows Ram Charan Teja (a techie) as someone who had been framed and CBI will be after him. How he proves his innocence forms the major part of the story. Anyway, our sources told us that YSRC supporters were happy to relate Cherry to Jaganmohan Reddy.
Anyway, to real fans of mega star Chiranjeevi, who were actually not looking for just an entertainer but a movie something like Tagore, Nayak came in as a disappointment. The title, the promos and the director - these three were the three things that basically gave an impression to the public that Nayak would be another Tagore.
