'Mega Power Star' Ram Charan's recently released Naayak, has already made a record Rs 32 crores in the first week of its release on 1200 screens. However will it be able to sustain to cross the Rs 50 crores hurdle is a question that is prevailing on the crew.
In a bid to reach their target, on Sunday, the crew along with the star went on a whirlwind tour in a helicopter to the major cities across the state. The crew all-in-a-days work visited Tirupati, Vijaywada and Vizag to meet the fans. Theatres screening the film wore a festive look, naturally and this seems to assure the collections on a bright Sunday.
However everything comes with a price tag, the chopper drive cum promo cost the productions a whopping Rs 25 lakhs for the day. All is good if the target is achieved fell the analysts.
But why this trendsetting campaign which might become a tradition to all big budget films. The reason is Naayak had been facing a tough competition by multistarer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalli Cheetu from the beginning being released just a couple of days later than the former. The two films were going tough against each other in the collections race.
The competition would go further narrow, as Dr Kamal Haasan's magnum opus 'Viswaroopam' hits the screens on December 25, hence these novel ways to attract fans, feel analysts. (Wishesh AarKay)
