The multistarer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalli Chettu (SVSC) by Srikanth Addala seems to rake in rich moolah for the producers, headed by Dil Raju.
In spite of a mixed talk in the beginning and less hyped publicity, SVSC has earned approximately Rs 46 crores in the first two weeks of release. The earnings equal Naayak's collections, whereas the 2 films have different earning pockets.
SVSC has earned Rs 33 crores in the state while Naayak bagged 36.97 crores. In the rest of India markets SVSC earned Rs 3 crores and Naayak earned rs 3.70 crores. But SVSC scored the mileage in the over seas markets with an whopping earning of Rs 10 crores whereas Naayak could only garner Rs 3.70 crores.
SVSC overseas earning is a record as per sources and the trends are going tight as the cash register will have steady flow this week also. That should be news for the crew.
Staring 'Victory' Venkatesh and 'Prince' Mahesh Babu in the lead, paired with Anajli and Samantha respectively, showed impeccable onscreen chemistry that viewers longed to be a part of this hard-bound family.
The film's success reveals how far we are from reality. What we long for we generally dream and if a film depicts our dreams than it is sure to reap rich dividends.
This only goes on to show that how much we long for togetherness and how distant we are from it, due to our concrete assignments.
SVSC is all about, what we miss out in this real life when we are miles apart. It is a canvass of an average Indian mindset, where ever he lives. (Wishesh AarKay)
