Ms Veerappan paid 25 lakhs to permit release of Tamil film?

'Vanayuddham' produced by A M R Ramesh had received a jolt from the court just before its release scheduled for Thursday. But sources confirm that the film has tided over the hurdles and has hit the screens.

'Vanayudham' has been centered around the last days of the slain forest brigand Veerappan. His wife, Muthu Lakshmi approached the court to stall the film, as it would hurt their way of life after the release. In the meantime it is speculated that the producer of the film has doled out Rs 25 lakhs to convince her.

All is well for the film as of now and it carries live glimpses into milestones in the life of Veerappan. His early smuggling days, the kidnap of Karnataka celebrity Rajkumar and his last days are well narrated in this film. Kishore who played the role of the slain brigand gave an impeccable performance and is worth kudos. (Wishesh AarKay)
