Dasari Narayana Rao who so far directed 150 movies, is a versatile artist having capability of writing and acting and he also actively participate in politics but likes to call himself as a film director which is his favorite activity.

Dasari is starting directing his 151st movie today being his birthday. He was born in Palakollu in West Godavari District on 4th May 1947.

Usually seniors say that old times are good and old movies are better than the present ones. Although Dasari remembers the past glory of his actively involved days in the film production, he also appreciates present small budget films but feels sad about the way the movies are removed before a talk on it reaches public, only to give place to a big movie.

He welcomes the technical advancement taking place in the film industry but worries about the creativity that is being lost in the process.

Many film personalities greeted Dasari Narayana Rao on his birthday and wished him all success in his new movie started today.
