Ram Charan Tej has apparently turned vegetarian. Why? Because his wife Upsana gifted him a puppy for his birthday.

Upsana had presented him a dog, which Charan immediately named Brat, for him on his birthday on March 27th earlier this year. He expressed that he felt a positive vibe as soon as he laid his eyes on the dog. Apparently, Brat was also the name of another dog he was very close to. Charan lost the dog 6 years back when a car ran over the dog during an early morning walk.

The reason he turned a vegetarian may be temporary as the newest Brat in his life sustained an injury after filling a hole in Charan's heart. Not able to look at the chap in pain, the actor pledged that he would give up meat until he recovers.

After horses, its dogs that have taken his heart. Charan has shown he can sacrifice anything , even become a vegetarian, for something he truly cares about.
