Will Charan keep his promise to fans?

After critics had a field day with Zanjeer bashing, Charan was reported to have already moved on from the film. Still, a little birdie quips that the actor did not wish director Apoorva Lakhia for his birthday. Is he angry or did he simply forget the day? Well, it is also the day fans are reminding Charan of his promise at the Toofan audio release function.

When he made his speech, everyone felt he made a better speech than his previous ones. It was believed that he had downplayed the hype of Toofan out of humility, but harsh reviews have suggested that he may actually have anticipated the verdict.

On the day, he charmingly addressed fans and requested them to be honest if he did not perform up to the mark. He even said he chooses films only of the script is good. Somewhere along the way, it became clear that Charan did not have any scope to show emotion in Toofan and, therefore, was ripped apart by critics who said he was wooden.

Despite having avoided Apoorva Lakhia's calls, he finally accepted the film after much convincing. Looking at the final product, did Charan feel he was not doing justice to his fans? After watching Toofan, fans want him to give them Tollywood entertainers and not a Bollywood recipe cooked with Telugu masala.

Anyhow, Telugu filmmakers are quite eager to work with the Yevadu actor. Charan probably already knew his 'comfort zone' is Telugu cinema. Question is whether he will go ahead with another Bollywood film.
