Second Week of Atharintiki Faces Losses!

When Pawan Kalyan's Atharintiki Daredi sustains loss what about other movies?  This question is bothering the producers, directors, actors and many others depending on film production in Andhra Pradesh.

The most successful movie of recent times after Pokiri and Magadheera, Atharintiki Daredi allured all cine lovers irrespective their age and fan following.  But the movie which made record collections in the first week is hit hard by the Samaikyandhra bandhs. The collection of 1.25 crores on the last day of first week came down to 43 lakhs on the first day of 2nd week.

With the political uncertainty prevailing in the State, the movies that are already made, in the process of making and small budget films with big hopes are all in the doldrums.

As the stakes are high in the film business as heavy investments are involved, the industry even otherwise became speculative as no one can predict its success in normal conditions also.   When a political situation becomes like the one at present with sentiments mounting high and situation sensitive with a chance of eruption of large scale trouble with a small comment of someone in the State or at Center, its impact is bound to be on the film industry as always, survival comes first and entertainment next in priority.

Ramcharan also accepted this fact at the time of release of Zajeer/Thoofan when he said that a movie is nothing compared to the situation in the State.
