Sanjay Leela Bansali's Ram Leela movie starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is asked to limit to the boxes but not to go to the box office.  

The Delhi High Court stayed release of the movie till further orders. The movie Ram Leela is scheduled to release on 15th in the wake of which the lead pair toured extensively in the country to promote the movie. 

An Interim Order is issued by the Additional District Judge AS Jayachandra responding on six petitions against release of the movie. The petitioners complained that the title Ram-Leela relates the Avatar Ram and the movie will be watched with that expectation only to get their feelings hurt.  As the title is misleading a change of it is suggested.

Ram-Leela as per Hindus is the story of Ram enacted by the artists.  Furthermore, Ram is believed to be a Maryada Purusha and ideal personality to be worshipped by the devotees whereas, the movie is full of sex and violence.  The vulgarity in the movie is hurting the sentiments of Hindus when it is connected with the story or Ram.

Surprisingly the Delhi High Court earlier refused to ban the movie and more over imposed a penalty of Rs.50000/- on the petitioning NGO.  Prabhu Samaj Dharmik Ram Leela Committee is one of the six petitioners.
