Adivasis staged protest opposing shooting at Kuntala Waterfalls where Anushka starrer Rudramadevi film shooting is going on at Kunatala waterfalls. Some important scenes are to be shot at Kuntala as per schedule.

The Adivasi Students Union District President Vedam Bojju and Tudum Debba District President Mesram Sudershan of Adilabad told media persons that shooting of the film cannot be allowed as the sacred temple at the waterfall is sacrilegious. A group of adivasis belonging to the Adivasi Students Union, Tudum Debba and Kuntala Parirakshna Samiti staged protest to suspend the film shooting at the waterfalls.

Kuntala waterfalls is a beautiful location with natural beauty and a good picnic spot.  It is located in the Neredigonda Mandal in Adilabad district.

While Anushka is enacting the title role, Rana is enacting the role of Chalukya Veerabhadrudu in the film being made by Gunasekhar under Guna Team Works. Krishnam Raju is playing the role of Ganapati Devudu. Ilairaja is composing music for the film.
