Sensible director Sekhar Kammula's films are generally lengthy and that's because, Sekhar explains the plot of his films in detail. From Anand to Life is Beautiful [LIB], all the films were about more than two and half hours. Well then audience accepted his lengthy films till ‘Happy Days’ and Leader, LIB settled for average at box office.
Repeating the same mistake, Sekhar came up with Anaamika and the duration of the film is heard to be two hours and forty three minutes. Eminent writer Yandamoori Veerendranath who also worked for Anaamika, suggested to chop off the unnecessary footage. As per the instructions, Sekhar trimmed thirty eight minutes and made the film a two hours, five minutes one.
Anaamika is the adapted movie of Bollywood Kahaani which is all set for release on May 1st.
