Actor cum filmmaker R Narayana Murthy has supported the decision to ban news channels TV9 and ABN AndhraJyothy in Telangana. Commenting on this, Murthy said, “any organization that insults tradition, culture, dialect of a particular region should be banned from the society. It is not a good sign to make fun of a region and it send wrong signals to the audience.”

Narayana Murthy has supported the Telangana moment and even stood by the students and agitators at various platforms. Currently Murthy is directing and acting in Rajyaadhikaram. The movie has completed shooting and is gearing up for release.

So far only Narayana Murthy from the Telugu industry commented on the ban of news channels while rest of the Tollywood remained silent.
