Director Neelakanta impressed everyone with his debut film 'Show'. 'Missamma' with Bhumika has proved that he is the hatke director among the present generation. However, Neelakanta's  previous films have failed miserably at box office. Now the director is coming up with another experimental film 'Maaya' and the concept of the movie is is based on the concept of extra-sensory perception.

Recently the trailer of Maaya was launched and it was a spectacular one. The film's shooting was wrapped up and post-production works are also nearing completion. The makers of Maaya have announced the release date and Maaya will hit the theatres on August 1st.

Harshvardhan Rane, Avanthika and Sushma are playing the lead roles while MVK Reddy and Madhura Sreedhar have jointly produced this film. Sekhar Chandra is scoring music.
