'Happy New Year' actress Deepika Padukone is likely to play a Bengali girl character for the first time in her upcoming movie 'Piku', where she was looking very busy in movie shooting in Kolkata for part of the film. Earlier, Deepika has played roles of a Tamilian, Marathi and Punjabi, as she is very excited to be a Bengali girl in Piku. She was mesmerized by the beautiful city and its old world charm.
Currently, Deepika Padukone shooting for 'Piku' in Delhi with co-stars Bollywood Icon Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. It is being directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by MSM Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Creations Limited. The moviemakers have planned to released the movie in theaters on April 30, 2015.
Deepika is only Bollywood actress to make such different roles in recent times, where she has played various roles in her career and has proved her mettle by being diverse each time. She was impressed by fans as Tamil girl in Chennai Express or a Goanese girl in Finding Fanny.
