It is well known that Ram Gopal Varma tries to cash his popularity and also movies, by creating some type of controversy in his movies. Right from the beginning, he never ruled out this formula.
But if the present situations are to be believed, Kamal Haasan is following Varma's formula by including some controversy in his movies.
Prestigious films like Dashavatharam, Vishwaroopam too are not an exception for these controversies. Vishwaroopam was initially banned in Tamilnadu for the scenes containing terrorist attacks and Dashavatharam too faced very worse conditions before and after release too.
Now its time for Utthama vilan controversy. The members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishat complained to Chennai police commissioner that there is a conversation between the Hiranyakashipa and Prahlada in the movie which insults lord Vishnu. Due to this, the Parishat members felt that those scenes might create inequalities among the people, so it will be better if the movie stops its release. VHP leader KL Satyamurthy already announced to ban the film.
But the actual doubt that is arising is, why every Kamal Haasan movie is involving in these controversies. Is he trying to cash the movie by getting the publicity for the film like this ? or is it because of the long time cold war between Kamal and Tamilnadu CM Jayalalitha that every movie of Kamal is struggling like this ? or is it a genuine controversy ? Will future answer all these questions also is a big question now.
