Kota Srinivas Rao. One of the actor of telugu cinema who brought pride to the Indian cinema has finally achieved  the prestigious Padmashree award.

The actor made his debut with a telugu film Pranam khareedu in 1978, and from then he was never let down in his career. He acted in more than six hundred and fifty films till now and was awarded by the government of Andhra pradesh as best actor for 6 times. He was never stuck to a role, he always did experiments with various kinds of films. He is identified for both comedy and also villain kind of roles.

Not only Telugu, Kota played many important characters in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam too. Saamy was his first film in Tamil who played a role as a villain.

Kota has his kind of identity even at these languages and it is been carried out by the concerned language audience too well.

In 2010, he lost his son Kota Venkata Anjaneya Prasad in a road accident which left him with tears till date. From then he's seen turned down regarding his health, but he is still trying to give his best of the best in the films and Padmashree is the result of his work

Now its time to felicitate this proudest actor of Indian cinema. Indian government identified Kota's works for the Indian cinema and awarded him with Padmashree on Wednesday. Kota was one among the top most celebrities in the award function. Kota received this title from Pranab Mukherjee the President of India.

The moment is not only proud for the Telugu audience but for the entire Indian cinema audience as he was well received in all the languages he acted.
