After knowing the adverse condition of the farmers, Bollywood star Akshay came forward to support them financially. Akshay Kumar gives Rs 1 lakh monthly to 30 farmers in Maharashtra.  

Generally, we are aware of the celebrities offering a lump sum amount as a charity purpose. But it is to be noted that, lump sum amount may not be sufficient throughout their life. May be Akshay Kumar thought in this way and came forward to do charity by offering money to the farmers every month.

Regarding this, Akshay is spending around Rs. 50000 to Rs. 100000 per family for a few months. Akshay is not associated with any NGO for this and is doing it with his on team. 

How did Akshay Kumar select 30 farmers?

Along with his team, Akshay Kumar  conducted the research and prepared a list of the farmers, who desperately needed help, without which their survival would be tough. According to the list, Akshay team visits those farmers families, in the interiors of the state and distributes the money.
 
Along with supporting the farmers financially monthly, reportedly, Akshay decided to donate Rs. 90 lakhs to the drought struck farmers.

In the recent times, due to the adverse conditions, Maharashtra farmers faced a tough time. This made a few of the celebrities like Nana Patekar, Makrand Anaspure and cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, along with Akshay Kumar, come forward to support the farmers financially.

It is good to know that, celebrities are coming forward for many social causes like adopting the villages, supporting the farmers financially and so these days.
