Amithab Bachchan says that, director Shanker approached him, to do the villain role in Robo 2, earlier.

While, Super Star, Rajinikanth who had the magic of grabbing all the eyes on him, for his every upcoming movie, is not able to do with Robo 2, as the public are specially eyeing on the villain role, more than the main hero role.

It is known that, several names of Bollywood stars like Amir Khan, Salman Khan and others, are heard for the villain role in Robo 2. Even, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s name was also heard, but due to the remuneration issue, he was out of the project.

Finally, the makers have confirmed Bollywood star, Akshay Kumar, in the villain role in Robo 2 movie.

But many do not know that, even Big B, Amithab Bachchan was also approached for the villain role in the film. Shankar reportedly approached Amithab and requested him to do the role. But Amithab personally called Rajini and told the issue.

It was then, Tamil super star said Hindi super star, not to accept the role and so Big B had to deny Shankar’s request.

Rajinikanth and Amithab Bachchan share a good relation and the both are considered as the huge stars of the country. So if at all, Amithab accepted the villain role, Rajini has to hit Amithab and get the upper hand over him in the film. This would create huge disturbances among the duo star fans. The down to earth Rajini, who speculated this on the beforehand, informed Amithab, to reject the offer, and so, Amithab did it.

Lyca productions, is producing Robo 2, which has started shooting on December 16th, last year. Amy Jackson, will be seen in the female lead role in this big-budgeted film.
