Everyone has been waiting for the announcement of wedding dates of Tollywood actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and actress Samantha. Some even thought that it was all rumours.

So, finally rubbishing all rumours, Tollywood's love birds Samantha and Chaitanya got engaged in a private convention centre on Sunday.

Mass hero Nagarjuna announced the news on Twitter by sharing a picture of the couple and wrote, "#Chaisam It's official now. My mother is my daughter now. Couldn't be happier!!more pics to come."

The engagement was a strictly private affair with only very close friends and family members being invited for the function.

The engagement ceremony took place both in Hindu and Christian traditions. Sam was seen wearing a white designer saree looking like a chaste bride, Chaitu wore a black suit looking handsome.

Wishing his brother Naga Chaitanya and Samantha on Twitter, Akhil wrote, "My brother and my new sister! I'm the happiest thammudu in the world. Love you guys !"

Akhil who got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Shriya Bhupal was seen in the function with his fiance.

However, fans have to still wait as the marriage date is not announced yet.
