Nandi Awards have been considered to be the most prestigious awards for film celebrities across Andhra Pradesh. For their appreciation in their respective fields, AP government felicitates with a Nandi along with prize money as a token of respect. However after the bifurcation of the state, the situations have been monitored and the awards have been kept on hold. AP government now announced the Nandi Awards for the years 2012 and 2013.
