Dhanush Opens About Working With Kajol In VIP2:- Tamil star and Rajnikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush during a recent interaction with a leading daily, opened up about working with Bollywood actress Kajol in his upcoming film ‘VIP 2’.
He stressed that he enjoyed the experience a lot. Dhanush added that, “It is a great honor to work with Kajol ma’am. A lot of swag and charisma is required for the character that she will essay. So, we were looking for somebody who had a majestic air, and could not think of anyone other than her. We were bowled over by her energy and the way she handled the character.”
Dhanush had earlier worked in Hindi films like “Raanjhanaa”, and “Shamitabh”. When asked about, if as actors, does not being fluent in a language act as a barrier? He replied “Ideally, language should not be a barrier, but acting in a language you do not know can be tough. My secret is very simple as an actor I just shut up and listen to the director. And, when I am directing, I let the actors discuss what they have in mind regarding a particular scene. If it is better than what I had thought, I take that into consideration, but if it is otherwise, I politely decline.”
Besides this, Dhanush is also producing Ranjikanth’s venture “Kaala Karikaalan”. He added “It is a huge honor for me to be producing his film. We are all working hard to make it smooth, big and good. We are all eagerly looking forward to it.
On a related note, ‘VIP 2’ is a sequel to the ‘VIP’ that was released in 2014. The prequel was directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. Besides Kajol-Dhanush, it features Amala Paul in the lead. Interestingly, the first part had emerged a runaway hit at the ticket window. As such, this keenly-awaited sequel has already created a buzz in the industry. We hope, it does well at the box office.
As far as ‘Kaala’ is concerned, it is touted to be a mob-drama and features Rajinikanth essaying the role of a don. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film features Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi in the female lead. The film’s Mumbai schedule was wrapped up a couple of days ago.
