Dulquer Salmaan All Set To Make His Bollywood Debut:- Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan aka DQ, is all set to act in a Hindi movie and add a new dimension to his career.
According to reports, DQ will be entering Bollywood with a light-hearted comedy produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The film also features Irrfan Khan in the lead and will go on the floors pretty soon.
Confirming that DQ is actually entering Bollywood, a source said that his film will revolve around a road trip.
“It’s a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip. The film rolls by the month end in Kerala.” added the source.
Interestingly, the role was initially offered to Abhishek Bachchan. However, he could not accept the offer because of prior commitments.
Dulquer’s father and legendary actor Mammootty too had tried his luck in Hindi cinema in the 90’s. He made his B-town with ‘Dhartiputra’ which could not live up to expectations. His other Hindi release ‘Sau Jhoot Ek Sach’ too could not make an impact at the box office. All in all, Mammootty could not find much success in Bollywood.
On a related note, Dulquer will soon be seen in ‘Solo’. A romantic-thriller, it has been directed by Bejoy Nambiar and also features Neha Sharma in the lead. Besides ‘Solo’, he has the Savitri biopic in his kitty. The film features popular actress Keerthy Suresh in the lead.
