Mahanati Team All Set For A Surprise:- Young director Nag Ashwin made an impressive debut with Yevade Subramanyam starring Nani. The ace director took a small break and started working on the biopic of the legendary actress Savitri. After months of pre-production, the regular shoot of the movie kick-started. Malayalam beauty Keerthy Suresh has been roped in to reprise the actress in the movie. Samantha, Dulquer Salman and Vijay Devarakonda played other crucial roles.

The shoot of the movie is taking place in a brisk pace in Hyderabad and on the eve of Savitri’s birth anniversary, the makers are all set to surprise the audience. They revealed “Dec 6th... A day that saw the birth of one of the greatest actresses ever..Mahanati savitri..This year let’s celebrate her birthday together....with a surprise from team #mahanati ...we promise you it's going to be one of a kind, like her”. Ashwini Dutt is producing Mahanati and the film will hit the screens in 2018.
