Mahanati To Have Digital NTR And ANR:- Mahanati is the biopic of legendary actress Savitri. The film is being made on a massive budget and Keerthy Suresh has been picked up to reprise Savitri on screen. Nag Ashwin managed to collect enough information about the actress and the shoot of the film is nearing completion. Savitri did number of films with NTR and ANR during her time and the makers wanted young actors to reprise the roles of ANR and NTR on screen. While Naga Chaitanya was ready, NTR Jr said no to essay the role of his grandfather on screen.

With getting no replacement for NTR’s role, the makers decided to end up using digital ways. The episodes from the old films of NTR and ANR will be used in Mahanati and NTR, ANR episodes will be inserted in the scenes shot on Keerthy Suresh. The episodes will be re-mastered well to look decent on screen. Samantha, Dulquer Salman and Vijay Devarakonda will be seen in other crucial roles in Mahanati which is made on a massive budget. Vyjayanthi Movies is bankrolling Mahanati which will hit the screens during summer this year.
