The film is titled Valmiki and Varun Tej is the lead actor in this action drama. Atharvaa Murali and Pooja Hegde will be seen essaying other crucial roles in this action drama. The film landed into a controversy after Valmiki Reservation Porata Samithi filed a complaint in Guntur Police Station.

They said that Harish Shankar and his team are making money defaming Valmiki Maharshi's name. The makers decided to fight a legal battle and are continuing the film's shoot.
