Jayalalithaa Biopic, Thalaivi, Faces Roadblocks:- It has been quite publicized that the biopic of the former heroine and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J Jayalalithaa is in the making. Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut is all set to portray the character of Jayalalithaa in the upcoming movie. The movie is being directed by famous Tamil director AL Vijay and Vishnu Induri is going to produce the movie.

Kangana Ranaut has been very dedicated to the role, trying to find better ways to hone her existing skills. She has been learning Bharatnatyam to prosthetics to further render the role beautifully. But, with such preparations on the go, the movie experienced its first roadblock when Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar, filed a report against the movie in the high court.

The complaint has been lodged in the Madras High Court, seeking a stay on Thalaivi until further clarifications. Deepa said in the complaint that the director of the movie, AL Vijay has not taken any kind of consent for the movie. She feels that there could be certain scenes and facts in the movie which could present Jayalalithaa in a bad light.

This is the reason why Deepa wants the court to intervene and look further into the matter before the movie is made and released. She wants the filmmaker to state what’s facts in the movie and nothing apart from that.

Apart from Kangana, Arvind Swami is expected to play the role of MGR while Prakash Raj is set to portray the role of CM Karunanidhi in the movie. The movie is expected to release in 2020.

As for the complaint raised by Deepa in the Madras High Court, she wants the court to assure that no part of Jayalalithaa’s life and legacy is shown in a twisted manner in the movie.
